For the kids!

I hope you're enjoying the warmer weather and longer days! I remember when my son was younger loving how getting in an after super bike ride tuckered him out and meant he *might* go to bed a little easier! As we begin again with 2 in-person services this coming Sunday, and masks become optional inside the building, I wanted to reach out to our families with younger children to let you know what we have in store here at the church. Throughout the summer we will all be worshiping together - kids, youth and adults! Our Kids’ Zone up front offers a place for kids to colour, move around, read, play and engage during the service with the best seat in the house! Snacks & Hot Wheels in church are completely okay, as are giggles and loud Amens! We want you to know that your kids are an important part of our worship experience and they bring joy to our time together. 9:30am is our Relaxed service (apx. 45 mins) and along with modern hymns & worship songs, authentic sermons, thoughtful prayers and communion, we look forward to inviting kids to join in with instruments and dancing to close off our worship! 11am is our Classic service (apx. 60 mins) featuring the rich tradition of Anglican music and organ, authentic and relatable sermons, thoughtful prayers, communion, and a warm community vibe. For the summer we’ll gather for one Sunday fellowship time outside on the terrace which we're calling Inter-mission (10:20 - 10:50am). We’ll have fun outside toys for the kids to play with and we welcome spontaneous games of tag on the lawn! In case of rain, we have tents and the ability to use the Briar Hill area with doors wide open for ventilation.

If you're not ready for in-person worship, both of our services will be live-streamed. If you want to come for Inter-mission and not in-person worship, we'd be happy to see you. If you're ready for in-person and want to keep your mask on, that's okay. If you're ready for in-person but not ready to receive communion, not a problem. However you choose to get connected, you are welcome! We know the past couple of years have been hard on our kids. We know the loss of in-person Children's Ministry has been tough. We want you to know that we are aiming for a return to Nursery & Children's Ministry this fall and will be in touch as soon as we have more info.

Until then, please know that you and your family are an important part of St. Clement's and we do hope to see you soon. If you have questions or would like to chat with me personally, I'd love to connect! Yours in ministry, Pamela Rev. Pamela Rayment Associate Priest
