A Month for Remembering

As we move into the month of November we enter into a time of remembering.

This Sunday, Oct. 30, during our morning worship services, we mark All Saints: a time to remember all the saints and martyrs, both known and unknown, who died in the faith.

On the morning of Sunday, Nov. 6, we mark Remembrance Sunday, calling to mind those who have served this country in times of great challenge. At the 11 am service, we are blessed to welcome the 7th Toronto Regiment (RCA) and full Regimental band as leaders and participants in worship.

On the afternoon of Sunday, Nov. 6, at 4:30 pm, we offer a Service of All Souls. We remember all those who’ve gone before us, both recently and long ago, through music, prayer and reflection. This service will be in-person at the church and will be live-streamed.

To submit names for All Souls, click here or scan the QR Code to fill out the Google Doc. Please note that submissions for this form will close on Friday, November 4th at 9am.
For those calling in with names, please leave a message with reception at (416) 483-6664 ext. 221 before Friday, November 4th at 9am.

As an expression of remembrance, from Oct. 30 - Nov. 13, we are inviting our community to write in chalk the names of those they’ve lost on the stairs of our Duplex Street entrance. Take a moment to pause and reflect on the shared human experience of loss and remembrance. Some days we may see many names scrawled on the stairs, and others none, the rain having washed away the names that came before.

Let us enter into this month of remembering, trusting that in the Spirit, we are held together in hope even in times of loss and grief.
