“W5” of OMG Tuesdays

Heather and Claus Lenk

Who? This is for anybody who wants to learn more about following Jesus. It is a diverse, intergenerational group of between 35 and 60 participants.

What? Themes have included Prayer, The Psalms, Discovering Grace, Community (The book of Acts), and Fruits of the Sprit. The evening sessions begin with a light meal followed by a brief teaching from a member of our Pastoral Staff Team. Participants are then split into small groups to engage in interactive discussions on the evening’s topic. The afternoon is the same teaching and discussion, but over Zoom.

Where? The evening session starts in Canon Nicholson Hall for the meal and teaching. Discussion groups of 6 to 8 meet in various rooms in the church. For participants who prefer the afternoon session there are Zoom breakout discussion groups.

When? Each theme runs for 5 consecutive Tuesdays. This happens three times a year, Fall (October), Winter (February/March), and Spring (May). Evening sessions start at 6:30 PM and end at 8:00 PM . The afternoon Zoom sessions run from 1PM to 2 PM.

Why? This question is best answered by some of the responses in our last survey, after our Fall session “Finding Grace; a journey through the book of Galatians”:

Rev’d Andrew Federle teaching during the online portion of our most recent series; Finding Grace: A journey through the book of Galatians.
