A Thank You from Mackenzie

As I head off from St. Clement’s into the excitement of maternity leave, and with the hope of ordination this Spring, I wish to express my deepest thanks to the community of St. Clement’s.

I first came to St Clements three years ago this very week. In those three years, I have experienced a wide range of milestones, both personal and related to ministry. Through all these life changes, St. Clement’s has been for me an anchor (no pun intended) of spiritual strength and fellowship.

To all at St. Clement’s, thank you for all you have done to help me along my way, especially in my discernment of my vocational call to the Priesthood. Your prayers and encouragement have made the world of difference in my life. I have seen and felt Christ among the place and people of St. Clement's every step of the way.

To the youth of St. Clement’s, thank you for allowing me to walk alongside you on your spiritual journey these past years. It has been a gift to watch you learn and grow. I pray that you recall always the love of God, and the call to faithfulness that has been placed on you.

To the children of St. Clement’s, thank you for allowing me to sing, laugh, play and learn with you. I pray that you continue to grow in faith, joy and holiness, and that the Church may continue to be a place where you find peace, friendship and wisdom.

St. Paul addresses the church in Corinth as those “called to be saints together with all those who in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” As I move on to my next adventures, I find this a most fitting address for us too, and I trust that we remain together in this family of saints, as those who call upon the same Name!

In Christ and with thanks,

Mackenzie Wolf
